Pacifica Chamber Orchestra Opening Concert

Pacifica Chamber Orchestra performs their opening night at Zion Lutheran Church. Program: Solace, A Mexican Serenade by Scott Joplin, Surquillo by Daniel Cueto, Suite No. 2 for String Orchestra by Lou Harrison, Ukrainian Fantasy, On the Banks of Cheremosh by Taras Yachshenko, Suite for Organ and String Orchestra by Ottorino Respighi, Youngjin Joo, solo organ. The orchestra is dedicated to performing mostly modern works of the 20th and 21st centuries with a large focus on women composers and living composers. This a non-profit organization that performs concerts and donates to educational outreach programs for students in Snohomish County. The orchestra and Artistic Director Fred Chu are the recipients of the Everett Mayor’s Arts Award “for exceptional chamber music concerts and educational outreach in Everett that engage and inspire youth.” Their season is funded in part by Snohomish County Arts Commission, Everett Cultural Arts Commission, and Heritage Bank.

Tickets will be sold at the door via cash or check only. $25.00 general admission and $20.00 seniors 65+/students.
