Pacifica Chamber Orchestra performs the following music: Suite for String Orchestra by Maurice Ravel, Andante for String Orchestra by Serge Prokofiev, Five Greek Dances by Nikos Skalkottas, and Partita for Piano and String Orchestra Op. 20 by Vitezslava Kapralova. Harumi Makiyama, piano solo. Fred Chu, Artistic Director Tickets at the door.

Pacifica Chamber Orchestra performs mostly modern music, music by women composers, and living composers. The Partita for Piano and String Orchestra Op. 20 was completed in 1939 by Kapralova. She passed away in 1940, leaving a number of brilliant compositions. This is a rare opportunity to hear her Partita, performed by Harumi Makiyama. Join us for adventurous music!
