Jon Laukvik — Concerto for Organ and String Orchestra Pacifica Chamber Orchestra (Fred Chu, Artistic Director) performs the North American premiere of English composer Ruth Gipp's Cringlemire Garden: An Impression for String Orchestra, Op. 39. Composed in 1952, her work has been described by John France (Music Web International): "Cringlemire Garden, subtitled "Impression for string orchestra", lasts only a little more than six minutes, but it is a full-blown tone poem."

Also on the program, two works by American composers, Rhythmic Variations on Two Ancient Hymns by Howard Hanson composed in 1976 and Concerto Grosso No. 2 by Ernest Bloch composed in 1952. Concerto for Organ and String Orchestra by Norwegian composer Jon Laukvik was published in 2015. Guest artist Youngjin Joo is the organ soloist in this rollicking work.
