Electric Sky 2024: SUN ☀️WIND 🌬️WATER💧

This year, we invite artists, designers, and creative technologists to dive into the realms of renewable energy and art. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Cascade mountains in the Skykomish Ballpark, Electric Sky is a weekend retreat (Thu-Sun) that merges community, collaboration and learning and culminates with an evening outdoor art walk open to the public. Through the generosity of 4CultureThird Place Technologies / SkyArtworks is providing grants to support participating artists and technologists using AR, XR, electronics, sensors, interactivity, solar technologies, and self-illumination to craft installations and workshops that resonate with our theme exploring renewable energies. Our 2024 supported art+tech+workshop contributors include Alexandra KrongelAndrew Cole, Katrina Romero, Typonexus, Church of the Black Hole, Ana Davidson, Bruce Cooper (Renewables for Artists Team), Jeff BriceGenevieve TremblayFalona Joy and Shelly Farnham.

 

MAKE: In the spirit of hackathons, hang out in our Pop-up Makerspace, dive into impromptu collaborations, or create something extraordinary for the show.

 
LEARN: Participate in free art/tech workshops throughout the weekend, enhancing your skills and expanding your creative network. Workshops include Soldering 101Playing with Wind: Make an LED Pinwheel or Mini Wind TurbineVision CubingAugmented Environments (AR); and Intro to Solar Energy in Art.

JOIN US: Don’t miss the illuminated art walk and party on Saturday, June 22nd at the Skykomish Ballpark in the Town of Skykomish, WA. This evening celebrates the fusion of art, technology, and nature in an unforgettable PNW mountain setting. 🏔️.  Free and open to the public!
